Bioassay & Herbicide

ICIA offers quantitative bioassay testing for herbicide resistance traits of various crops.

We offer a number of tests which include:

  • Glyphosate resistant corn: this test determines the percentage of glyphosate (Roundup®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample

  • Glyphosate resistant soybeans: this bioassay determines the percentage of glyphosate (Roundup®) tolerant soybean seeds in a 200 seed sample

  • Glufosinate resistant corn: this test will determine the percentage of glufosinate-ammonium (Liberty®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample
  • Glufosinate resistant soybeans: this test will determine the percentage of glufosinate-ammonium (Liberty®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed soybean sample

  • STS soybeans: this determines the percentage of sulfonylurea (Synchrony®) tolerant soybean seeds in a 200 seed sample

  • IMI Corn: this bioassay determines the percentage of imidazolinone (Pursuit®) tolerant seeds in a 400 seed corn sample
Herbicide resistance traits are continually being developed by industry technology providers - ICIA stays at the forefront of these as they are introduced to ensure lab approval and readiness to perform the tests when they are needed.
